The City of Goodlettsville was presented a $25,000 check, by the Boyd Foundation, to use for enhancements to its existing dog park, Fenway’s Park, located within Moss-Wright Park. In its final year, the Tennessee Dog Park Dash, funded by the Boyd Foundation, is an initiative that was launched in 2018 by Randy and Jenny Boyd with the Boyd Foundation, who pledged $3 million to build 100 dog parks across the state, with the goal of making Tennessee the most pet-friendly state in the nation.
The Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation Department applied for the Dog Park Dash grant in the spring of 2022, and the City of Goodlettsville was announced as a winner over the summer. Residents may recall there was a community engagement piece to the process. Thank you to all of those who voted for Goodlettsville to receive the grant! You are the good in Goodlettsville!
