Smart 911

Plan ahead for any emergency by giving 911 the information they need to help you fast.

Nashville Emergency Communications Center (ECC) now offers a free service to help first responders know critical information about your family and your residence when you call 9-1-1.

This software allows citizens to voluntarily provide information that will only be visible to call takers and responders at the time you need it most.

  • City of Goodlettsville residents in Sumner County can also register but the info will only be available for 911 calls you make that are received by the Metro Nashville Communications Center.
    • Calling 911 from a land line in Sumner County always goes to the Sumner County ECC.
    • 911 calls made on a cell phone are routed through the closest cell tower and may reach 911 through either county depending on location and cell traffic at the time of the call.
