Historic Mansker's Station homeschool program is a great way to supplement a history lesson. Classes are held each Wednesday, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm beginning February 14 and ending March 14. The program consists of five individual classes, each with a different topic.
February 14: Souper Sampler - Learn to make homemade beef vegetable soup and biscuits made right on the hearth of the fort's big blockhouse.
February 21: Wool, Flax, and Lucet - Join us to learn how wool and flax were made into everyday clothing.
February 28: From Tree to Spoon - Join us to learn how a tree is turned into a spoon and decorate a wooden spoon.
March 7: Garden Insects - Join us to learn about bees and insects that are considered friends and foe of the garden and make a lone bee home and paint a lady bug rock.
March 14: Basic Embroidery Stitches - Create a take home sampler of your very own hand-sewn stitching and learn 10 hand-emboidery stitches.
