Goodlettsville Farmer's Market Opens at the Visitor's Center

Farmers Market (002)

The temperatures are warming up with spring in full bloom, and what is more exciting than the prospect of fresh local produce provided by your nearby farmers’ market? This season, don’t forget to buy your produce and goods at the Goodlettsville Farmer’s Market.

The Goodlettsville Farmer’s Market opens for the 2019 season on Thursday, May 2 at the Goodlettsville Visitor’s Center located at Historic Mansker’s Station and Moss-Wright Park, 705 Caldwell Drive.  The market is a rain or shine event and is open every Thursday, 3:00-7:00 pm through October 10.

The Goodlettsville Farmer’s Market is not only a great place to purchase local produce and goods, but it is a place to enjoy the afternoon with family and friends. This season, all sorts of wonderful things will be offered at the market. Things like free children’s activities and scavenger hunts and occasionally free live music for your listening pleasure with food vendors providing a mid-afternoon snack.  The Gift Shop at the Visitor’s Center will be open during the hours of the market too.

By visiting the Goodlettsville Farmer’s Market you support our local farmers and you support yourself by providing healthy and fresh food for you and your family. Farmer’s Markets have continued to rise in popularity, mostly due to the growing consumer interest in obtaining fresh products directly from the farm.  The Goodlettsville Farmer’s Market allows consumers to have access to locally grown, farm fresh produce.

“We continue adding vendors to the market each week so we are able to provide a nice selection of goods.  Currently we have vendors providing hanging baskets, eggs, fresh meat including pork, beef and chicken, berries, leafy greens, decorated cookies, baked goods, treats for dogs, and handcrafted soaps and lotions among other items,“ said Kimberly Lynn, Director of Tourism and Farmer’s Market Manager. “As the growing season progresses and the area gardens are in full production, customers can expect to find farm fresh produce.”
