In April 2013, Tennessee became the 44th state to pass a sports concussion law designed to reduce youth sports concussions and increase awareness of traumatic brain injury.
Information, training, and required forms
The Tennessee General Assembly passed a law in April of 2015 requiring coaches and parents of athletes under the age of 18 to be informed about the signs and symptoms of sudden cardiac arrest.
